Expo 2020 site transformation continues as site prepares to welcome new businesses

The Expo 2020 Dubai site continues to undergo its repurposing following the event, with more than 3,000 workers set to be based on-site by September.

The Expo 2020 Dubai site continues to undergo its repurposing following the event, with more than 3,000 workers set to be based on-site by September.

From its inception, the Expo 2020 Dubai site was thoughtfully considered and planned, not only to provide a world-class visitor experience but also to ensure that it leaves a legacy that will carry on for generations to come.

Designed as a sustainable and human-centric future city, Expo City Dubai is the future vision for the Expo site. In its post-Expo state, 80% of the infrastructure will be retained and transformed for a number of purposes, including people, business, spaces, technology, industry and entertainment.

By September, around 3,000 workers will call the site home, with Expo City Dubai set to become home to local and international businesses, organisations, and educational institutions.

“Organisations of all sizes, across a myriad of sectors and from all around the world are crucial to Expo City’s legacy plans and take forward Expo 2020 Dubai’s purpose to connect minds and create the future,” said Manal AlBayat, chief engagement officer of Expo City Dubai.

“We’re honoured to welcome such a diverse group of partners, and strive to connect and inspire these businesses, enabling them to thrive, and supporting their growth aspirations.”
