Alterface and its Chinese partner Jiangsu Boren Culture Technology have “ambitious plans”, when it comes to the Chinese market, following the announcement of the country’s first Action League Interactive Thrill Ride.

Set to open in May 2024 at Suzhou Paradise Forest World, Actional League Compact Edition utilises Alterface’s Popcorn Revenge IP - also appearing for the first time in China - to produce a compact ride with a total footprint of 202sq m (2,170sq ft).

According to Jiangsu Boren Culture Technology’s CEO, Mr. Gu, both Boren and Alterface see great potential in the product for the Chinese market, with plans to expand into multiple locations in the region.

“We envision this collaboration as a new beginning, with the goal of not only successfully implementing this product but also creating a thriving business around it,” he said.

“During the project's execution, we will actively promote the product, and we have ambitious plans to expand its presence across multiple locations. We foresee numerous opportunities for future cooperation and growth."

The Actional League Compact Edition can accommodate up to 288 riders per hour and is an interactive tournament featuring interactive shooting, competitive gaming, and movement with a rotating platform.

The addition of Action League to the Chinese park, says Alterface, represents an exciting new chapter for both the company and the product line. The ride is built as a turnkey solution, is easy to install and operate, which Alterface and Boren say make it an ideal choice not only for theme parks, but also for FECs and shopping malls.

Catering to visitors of all ages, the new attraction will be part of a core attraction at Suzhou Paradise Forest World, with the ride situated inside Candy World - a three-story indoor family entertainment destination. Action League is positioned in the building’s atrium on the first floor and, according to Alterface, stands out because of its ability to provide high levels of interactivity in a cost-effective manner and with a space-efficient layout. With its Popcorn Revenge theming, the ride fits perfectly into the sweet-themed area.

“I take immense pride in seeing the Popcorn Revenge IP conquering the world,” said Stephane Battaille, CEO of Alterface. “That’s especially as an integral part of this groundbreaking concept that is the Action League, Interactive Thrill Ride.”
