accesso strengthens leadership team with appointment of Lee Cowie as COO

accesso has announced the appointment of Lee Cowie as the company’s new COO

Global technology provider accesso has appointed Lee Cowie as its new chief operating officer as the company continues its focus on growth and innovation within the visitor attractions sector.

Cowie, who brings more than 15 years of senior international executive experience in digital transformation, operational strategy, and technology-driven initiatives to the role, joins accesso from Nando’s, where he served as group head of technology.

Cowie has also held senior leadership roles at Merlin Entertainments and Ericsson, managing large-scale technology initiatives and overseeing operations across various industries. As chief technology officer at Merlin, for seven years Cowie provided technology leadership for over 125 visitor attractions spanning 28 countries.

In his new role at accesso, Cowie will oversee key areas of the company’s operations, including engineering, product development, and delivery. His leadership will be crucial as the company looks to continue enhancing its suite of technology solutions for more than 1,200 venues worldwide, including virtual queuing, ticketing, and guest engagement tools.

“Lee’s unique experience as a former client, combined with his deep expertise in the leisure sector, makes him an invaluable addition,” said Steve Brown, CEO of accesso. “His passion for building high-performing teams and client-centric solutions, along with his focus on high-quality customer delivery, aligns perfectly with our vision for the future.”

Cowie’s appointment is a significant move for accesso as it looks to further strengthen its position as a leader in the global technology market for leisure and entertainment. His background in aligning technology strategies with business goals will be vital as the company continues to develop innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the guest experience and driving revenue for operators around the world.

One of the company’s standout offerings this year is the launch of accesso Passport Version 6, the latest release of its award-winning eCommerce platform. The supplier is also introducing the all-new accesso Passport mPOS - a flexible mobile point-of-sale solution that empowers staff to process transactions wherever guests are.
