Katapult brought its entire team down to this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe in London. The company’s creative strategist, Kelly Herrick, spoke to Planet Attractions






Themed attraction and experience specialists Katapult have projects enjoyed by more than 50 million people each year.

At this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe in London, UK, Katapult took its entire team to the British capital, with new team members including former Walt Disney Imagineer and creative director Andy Sinclair-Harris, live experiences lead Natalie Dawson and art director Lily-Ann Bedder joining the team.

Katapult was a part of the Experience UK pavilion at this year’s show, with the stand showcasing a variety of UK-based businesses that supply innovative products and services to visitor destinations worldwide. Sitting alongside businesses such as Aardman Animations, Conductr and 7th Sense, Katapult was certainly in good company for the landmark European show.

Katapult’s creative strategist, Kelly Herrick, had a quick chat with Planet Attractions about the company’s presence at this year’s Expo.

What was Katapult’s IAAPA experience like?

“Katapult design themed attractions and experiences, so we’ve been to IAAPA expos many times. It’s going great. There are loads of new innovations and loads of great people to talk to.”

What’s your favourite attraction?

“I’ve got a huge thing for nature connection in themed attractions, so I would have to say Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida.”
