Take a first look inside Asia’s first Nickelodeon FEC

Nickelodeon, China Leisure and JRA have collaborated on Shenzhen's brand new Nickelodeon-themed Family Entertainment Centre at the OCT Happy Harbor retail and entertainment complex

Operator China Leisure has released the first images of its brand new Nickelodeon family entertainment centre in Shenzhen, China.

Called Nickelodeon Playtime, attraction design company JRA has master-planned the development, which will immerse children in the worlds of a number of popular Nickelodeon IPs.

China Leisure specialises in developing and managing world-class leisure experiences and projects in China, including family entertainment centres, theme parks, waterparks and resorts. Its president, Linda Dong, recently spoke to Planet Attractions Editor-in-Chief, Tom Anstey, ahead of its launch at the Shenzhen OCT Happy Harbor retail and entertainment complex.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles zone sees kids train to be a ninja in the streets and alleyways of New York City - Credit: Nickelodeon/China Leisure


In the Fry Cook Academy, kids play chef, with parents able to order a mealm which is then fulfilled under the watch of the FEC’s operators - Credit: Nickelodeon/China Leisure


The Paw Patrol zone focuses on open-ended play, with kids exploring Adventure Bay and going on rescue missions - Credit: Nickelodeon/China Leisure


Dora is the name and exploring is the game for Dora The Explorer. Inside the special themed zone, kids are encouraged to climb and explore the area - Credit: Nickelodeon/China Leisure
