Splash Mountain reimagined as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for 2024

One of Disney’s oldest rides is getting a Princess and the Frog retheming, with the iconic Splash Mountain set to reopen as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in 2024.

Coming to coming to Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland park in California, once complete, the transformed attraction will feature a new storyline following Tiana, Naveen and Louis – voiced by Rose, Bruno Campos and Michael-Leon Wooley – as they plan a Mardi Gras celebration. Riders follow Tiana and go down colourful canals to a party filled with familiar faces and even some new characters, all set to an original soundtrack inspired by the movie score.

Plans to overhaul the ride, which first opened at the Magic Kingdom in 1992, were announced in 2020.
