Gateway Ticketing Systems (GTS), a provider of ticketing solutions for the attractions industry, has announced that the 2021 edition of its Galaxy User Group Meeting (GUGM) will take place between October 3 - 7 in Las Vegas, US.
This will be the first time the event has been able to go ahead in person since March 2020.
The four-day event, which aims to connect the Galaxy user community with the wider attractions industry, will feature educational presentations, success stories, breakout sessions and networking opportunities.
Attendees will leave with actionable takeaways to improve their attraction’s operations and guest experience.
This year’s event will be held at the Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas, which will host a Roaring 20s-themed party in the evening after the first day. Guests will be able to explore the museum, which shares the history of organised crime in America, and network in its speakeasy.
Flawless guest experience
“Las Vegas is a hotbed of entertainment - an attraction in and of itself - and a city specifically designed to deliver a flawless guest experience,” said Peter Wolf, director of sales and marketing at GTS.
“For our first year back after the pandemic, I couldn’t think of a better host city.”
Michael Andre, president and CEO of GTS said: “We spent the better part of a year-and-a-half supporting our Galaxy users virtually. We built new features into Galaxy to help support COVID and post-COVID operations.”
“We helped our customers wherever we could. But it’s no substitute for being there in person. We’re looking forward to getting back on the road and reconnecting with the people that make our family so great.”
The event will adhere to the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) latest health and safety regulations regarding COVID, as well as those of Las Vegas authorities concerning mask mandates, cleaning and disinfection and social distancing.
