Country music legend Dolly Parton is to expand her portfolio of pirate-themed immersive dining experiences with the opening of a new Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show in Panama City Beach, Florida, US.
Opening on June 1, 2025, the swashbuckling production will be Parton’s third pirate-themed production in the US, joining locations in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The show will be housed inside a 60,000sq ft (5,574sq m) space, complete with an indoor water stage, capable of holding 600,000 gallons of water, a 15ft-deep (4.6m-deep) lagoon, two 28ft (8.5m) pirate ships and 30ft (9m) sunken wreck, Southern Living reports.
It will combine pirates, mermaids, acrobats, aerialists, divers, dancers and singers, with pyrotechnics, special effects and music, including an original song, penned by Parton.
Diners will be served a four-course meal, featuring such delights as Buccaneer Biscuits, Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup, Half O’ Roasted Chicken, Me Hearties Pulled Pork, Matey’s Mashed Potatoes and Apple O’M Eye Turnovers, as they watch Crimson and Sapphire pirates do battle on pirate ships all around them.

Parton has operated immersive dining experiences since 1988. Her attractions include Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud and Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction.
She also co-owns Dollywood, a 165-acre theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, with themed entertainment operator Herschend Family Entertainment.
First opened in 1986, Dollywood offers more than 50 rides and attractions, including Big Bear Mountain
– a Vekoma-designed launching steel coaster, which opened in 2023 – as well as award-winning shows, traditional Smokey Mountain crafts and food and special music events with appearances from Parton herself and other music acts.
It forms the cornerstone of the Dollywood resort, which comprises the 35-acre Dollywood’s Splash Country waterpark, Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa and the HeartSong Lodge & Resort.
Dollywood is the largest ticketed tourist attraction in Tennessee and draws almost three million visitors a year.
“My Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show has been a huge success in Myrtle Beach and Pigeon Forge and I knew that Panama City Beach was the perfect spot to open our third location,” Parton said on the show’s website.
“There will be pirates, mermaids, exciting acrobatics, pyrotechnics and even a few songs I wrote – it’s a show everyone in the family is going to love,” she added.
