Christie has announced the appointment of Sean James as its new executive vice president of Global Sales and Service, with James set to lead the company’s global sales efforts while continuing to also oversee service operations.
Part of Christie for over 28 years, James started his career as a field engineer working on cinema equipment. He was involved in creating support programmes and building relationships with Hollywood studios during the transition to digital cinema. He also played a key role in deploying nearly 4,000 digital cinema screens across the US and helped establish Christie’s global Network Operations Center (NOC).
James has previously led Christie’s Enterprise and Entertainment division and, according to the company, was instrumental in expanding its presence in those markets. His work has also helped Christie maintain its reputation as a global leader in audiovisual solutions for cinema, themed entertainment, government, and live events.
"Sean’s proven leadership, combined with his ability to foster strong, lasting relationships, makes him highly qualified to lead our sales and service teams," said Michael Phipps, president and chief operating officer of Christie.
"His extensive experience in visual technologies and services, uniquely positions him to lead our new optimised operations to better serve our customers while ensuring long-term sustainability.”
Several key team members within Christie will report to James under this new structure, including Josh Kolbeck, vice president of Sales, Americas; Adil Zerouali, vice president of Sales, EMEA; Han Kim, vice president of Sales, APAC; and more.
"When sales and service work together, they create seamless experiences that build trust and long-term loyalty with our customers,” added James. “By aligning these two teams, we can provide consistent communication and deliver top-tier support."
Christie continues to develop and offer visual technologies for various industries, with products ranging from RGB pure laser projection to LED displays, supported by a robust professional services network.
