Christie names Hideaki Takizawa as new chief financial officer

Hideaki Takizawa has joined Christie after being named the company’s new CFO for Christie Digital Systems and its subsidiaries

Christie has named Hideaki Takizawa as its new chief financial officer (CFO) for Christie Digital Systems and its subsidiaries.

With over 34 years of experience in business management and finance, Takizawa previously served as general manager of Ushio Group’s Business Management Division, where he oversaw the Accounting, Finance, and Legal departments. He was also instrumental in enhancing Ushio’s financial strategies and governance as part of the company’s long-term growth plans.

Effective April 1, 2025, Takizawa will report to former CFO Michael Phipps, who has transitioned to the role of president and chief operating officer. As CFO, Takizawa will be responsible for aligning Christie’s financial strategy with its overall goals while overseeing internal controls and reporting.

“We continue to strengthen our presence in the industry, enhance customer partnerships and create innovative AV solutions,” said Phipps. “Hideaki’s leadership and financial acumen will be invaluable as we continue to execute our strategic vision and drive long-term success.”

In the position, Takizawa will focus on supporting Christie’s growth strategy, ensuring the company remains competitive in the audiovisual sector.

"I am honoured to join Christie and look forward to working with the talented team of employees and executives to maximise financial performance and drive sustainable growth,” said Takizawa. "This is an exciting time to join the company, and I’m eager to contribute to its ongoing success."
