Kingda Ka - the world’s tallest rollercoaster - is closed indefinitely following an incident where the ride’s launch cable snapped while riders were still on the attraction.
Also the fastest coaster in the US, the ride at Six Flags Great Adventure launches riders 456ft (138m) into the air at a speed of 128mph (207.6kmph).
Although people were on board the ride at the time, there were no injuries and the train safely rolled back into the station.
First opened in 2005, the Intamin-manufactured ride is currently listed as temporarily closed on the Six Flags Great Adventure website with no reopening date confirmed.
