Universal Destinations and Experiences has filed a patent for a new kind of wearable technology.

Titled ‘Interactive Device of an Attraction System’, the patent is for a wearable headset equipped with a projector to show images as well as a microphone and a display.

It is designed to provide enhanced levels of interaction and immersion to visitors at its theme parks and resorts.

The new patent is the latest of several patents that the entertainment giant has filed recently, including a free-moving carousel ride system and a multi-level dark ride, and may suggest potential new attractions at the upcoming Epic Universe resort, which is currently under construction in Orlando, Florida.
