A new theme park nestled within the forests of Japan’s northern Okinawa Prefecture will open in 2025, with the surrounding nature inspiring the soon-to-debut Jungalia.

A new theme park nestled within the forests of Japan’s northern Okinawa Prefecture will open in 2025, with the surrounding nature inspiring the soon-to-debut Jungalia.
Developed at a cost of around ¥70bn (US$470m, €429m, £372m), the new theme park will aim to help visitors enjoy the nature of the greater Yambaru forest area.
Built on the site of a former golf course, entertainment company Katana, which is also behind the upcoming Immersive Fort Tokyo, says that the new park will “provide something that people cannot experience in urban areas”.
Among its offerings, Jungalia will feature balloon rides and an attraction where visitors will be chased through the jungle by a dinosaur as they ride inside a vehicle.
