Starting this September, cruise operator Royal Caribbean has removed the requirement for its passengers departing in the US from California, Louisiana or Texas, and any European country, to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Starting this September, cruise operator Royal Caribbean has removed the requirement for its passengers departing in the US from California, Louisiana or Texas, and any European country, to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
In a statement, the company said that while it still “strongly recommends” its guests be fully vaccinated, it will no longer be required as of September 5.
Customers will still be asked to “disclose your vaccination status during check-in,” but no proof will need to be provided. Some local destinations may however still need this documentation.
“Some of the destinations we visit require guests to be up to date with their vaccination status to go ashore,” said the statement.
“Those who do not meet these two requirements to be considered up to date may require additional testing onboard prior to going ashore in certain ports.”
