Reimagined Valhalla set for Blackpool Pleasure Beach return in 2022

Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s indoor dark flume ride Valhalla is set to reopen this season following an extensive refurbishment, with the park sharing a teaser video for the attraction on its social media channels.

Originally opened in 2000 at a cost of £15m, the Intamin-manufactured attraction is one of the world’s longest indoor dark rides, with the experience lasting around six minutes.

The ride has remained closed since 2020, with its reopening delayed as a result of the pandemic.

According to a post on the Blackpool Pleasure Beach website “the gods are reimagining Valhalla”. The ride experience will take guests through scenes of fire, snow and mist as they journey in Viking-themed longboats.
