The Museum of London has declared its final event before its demolition ahead of a move to a new site, with the institution working on an “epic leaving party” - one which could potentially last all night.

The Museum of London has declared its final event before its demolition ahead of a move to a new site, with the institution working on an “epic leaving party” - one which could potentially last all night.
The museum will permanently close the doors of its current home - opened in London in 1976 - on December 4, with museum director Sharon Ament stating: “If there is demand, we will stay open 24 hours – we really want everybody who hasn’t been to the Museum of London to come and see it.”
Once the museum is demolished, plans currently call for “a new business destination in London’s economic centre”. Nearby residents in Barbican are unhappy with the proposal, however, which was previously penned in to be a £288m concert hall.
