UK-based experiential design company Holovis has signed a joint venture agreement with Shanghai Luoman Lighting Technologies Inc, with the new agreement covering the entirety of China as the two companies work closely to realise the market's fast-growing outdoor experiential projects.
Founded in 1999, Luoman is a high-tech enterprise based in Shanghai and a leading urban lighting integrator in China. The company has a number of patented technologies that "give it first-mover advantages in the urban night planning industry".
Following the signing, Holovis will place all its future Chinse business through the joint venture, with two companies intending to use their complementary expertise to offer a complete turn-key product in terms of design, complex AV/lighting, show control, projection mapping, real-time media and systems integration solutions.
Both companies, says a release announcing the joint venture, also intend to combine their innovation pipelines to accelerate the development of next-generation experiences to bring to the fast-growing Chinese market.
“The Shanghai listing marks a new milestone for Luoman that can experiment with new technologies and pioneer new applications of 5G technologies,” said Kaijun Sun, chairman of Luoman.
“Luoman aims to deliver an immersive social experience for users. We are looking forward to strengthening our efforts with Holovis in virtual and artificial reality.”
