Ferrari Land is on F1 driver Carlos Sainz’s bucket list

Spanish racing driver and current F1 star with Ferrari, Carlos Sainz, has described PortAventura’s Ferrari Land as a bucket list attraction for the racing dynamo.

Posted on PortAventura’s YouTube channel, Sainz answered ten questions about F1 and Ferrari Land, revealing hid desire to visit the Ferrari-themed attraction.

“I really like amusement parks, especially when I was a child. Now I have less time to go there but it is on my bucket list,” he said.

“I’ll see if I can get away when I visit Barcelona and if not, I’ll have to organise it with Ferrari soon.”

Ferrari Land is home to the record-breaking Red Force coaster, which is the tallest and fastest in Europe. Designed and manufactured by Intamin, the vertical launch coaster climbs 112 metres (367ft), accelerating from 0mph to 112mph (180kph) in just five seconds.

“I think it’s probably pretty close to a Formula One Car,” said Sainz. “I personally love the feeling of a rollercoaster because it’s something that makes it feel a bit like what we feel when driving.”
