Edinburgh Zoo is among three potential suitors to take up operation of the city’s Gorgie Farm.
The last urban farm in Scotland, visitors can meet with animals including goats, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, ferrets, ducks and a tortoise. The farm also features a café and an events space. The attraction recently announced it would have to close due to skyrocketing costs combined with a funding shortfall.
The farm closed to the public on Monday (January 16) but Edinburgh Zoo, Five Sisters Zoo and East Links Family Park have all come forward to express an interest in taking over operations in the future.
