A touring exhibition celebrating the science behind hit BBC show Doctor Who has opened at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
The launch was marked by an appearance from two Cyberman, who stormed the museum ahead of the exhibition’s opening.
Called ‘Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder’, the exhibition was developed by immersive experience designer Sarner International and combines real-life science with content from the beloved series.
It consists of eight zones, each offering a series of interactive and immersive experiences. Visitors will be able to explore the science of time travel in the TARDIS Tech Room and face down some of the show’s most iconic villains, including Daleks, Cybermen and the Weeping Angels, in the Monster Vault.
“For almost 60 years Doctor Who has been exploring mind-bending scientific developments,” said Ed Cookson, projects director at Sarner International.
“The iconic characters, monsters, stories and settings of the television series provide a perfect guide through the wondrous world of space, time and science.”
