The Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida, has introduced a new wheelchair-bound character to the ‘It’s a Small World’ attraction.

The Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida, has introduced a new wheelchair-bound character to the ‘It’s a Small World’ attraction.
According to a Disney statement, the doll was added so that guests and cast members would be able to see their lived experience or that of their loved ones reflected in the Magic Kingdom attraction.
“We remain committed to our ongoing work to champion inclusivity and are excited for what the future brings as we continue to reflect the beauty of our individual experiences,” read the statement.
“If you are a guest in our park, or a cast member, we celebrate you – your background, your culture, your identity – and we welcome you every day.”
The news comes after the Disneyland resort in Anaheim, California, expanded the attraction to include several wheelchair-using dolls. Disneyland Paris is also expected to add several such characters to the attraction.
