Centre Pompidou, a contemporary art museum in Paris, France, has signed agreements that will see the opening of two new overseas outposts in South Korea and Saudi Arabia.

The result of a partnership between South Korea’s Hanwha Culture Foundation, Seoul Pompidou is scheduled to open in the 63 Building on Yeouido Island in 2025 and is to be designed by French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte.

The Saudi Arabia Centre Pompidou museum, meanwhile, is expected to open later this year and will aim to ‘support the enhancement and development of the cultural and creative aspects of AlUla.’ It forms part of a US$5.2bn (€4.74bn, £4.18bn) investment made by the Royal Commission for AlUla.
