For the first time in more than two years, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has removed its warning against cruise ship travel, with the body no longer cautioning against boarding a ship.
Speaking to USA Today, Dave Daigle, spokesperson for the health agency, said: “Travelers will make their own risk assessment when choosing to travel on a cruise ship, much like they do in all other travel settings.”
Daigle added that the CDC's decision to remove the notice was based on the pandemic's current state and a decrease in coronavirus cases on cruise ships over "the past several weeks."
