It’s now six months since the closure of Pembrokeshire’s Oakwood Theme Park, which was visited by over half a million visitors a year in its heyday.
The iconic attraction was shut down last March by its owners, Spanish leisure company Aspro Parks, who blamed decreasing footfall and rising costs for their decision to end the park's 38-year existence.
Although visitors to Oakwood complained the park had been run down in recent years, its sudden closure was lamented by thousands of people who had made happy memories there on rides such as Nutty Jake's Goldmine, Megafobia and the Pirate Ship.
